Frequently asked questions

Delivering perfect quality is part of our company culture and as such, each ring is tailor-made. A certificate of authenticity guaranteeing quality and originality is delivered for each ring specifically.

Each ring is a masterpiece because it is made with craftsmanship, using the best materials combined with the newest technologies. A tiny, unique mark in the ring ensures that we can recognize it and meet our service guarantees flawlessly.

In our gold, platinum and palladium rings of Aurodesign, Tessina, Mémoire, Traditions, f'OrU, Pre Wedding Ringcollection and Amici we clearly put a maker’s mark on the inside of the ring. That guarantees that we have manufactured this ring. Is this mark missing and did you buy this ring at an official point of sale? Please contact us.

A content mark is proof of purity of the gold (18 ct, 14 ct, 9 ct). In our gold rings of Aurodesign, Tessina, Mémoire, Traditions, Pre Wedding Ringcollection and Amici we clearly put a maker’s mark indicating how much carat gold the ring is.

Our traditional company is based on a world of experience. On the one hand through the knowledge built up since 1948 and on the other hand through our ‘anciens’ or faithful employees who we are rightly proud of. From making the alloy to the casting of the gold tubes, from designing the ring to the microscopic setting of the diamonds. Keeping each step in-house guarantees us this unique quality.

We only set the best diamond quality, both for the smaller and larger stones. Our selected diamonds always have the beautiful white colour G-H. For the Mémoire, AURODESIGN, tessina and f'OrU collections we usually set brilliants having the VS (Very Small Inclusions) clarity. For Traditions and Amici we always set brilliants having the SI (Small Inclusions) quality. Longstanding relationships and reliable suppliers guarantee us the exquisite, stable quality regarding colour, inclusions and stone size.

Due to values, demanding standards and ecological awareness we only work with reliable suppliers when purchasing our raw materials. As a gold smithy we especially guard the quality of all our gold alloys. They all comply with the European legislation regarding nickel allergy. Nickel is no longer used in white gold alloys. This served to make yellow gold white. Instead we add palladium, a high-quality precious metal.

In both the design and finish of the ring, a lot of attention is paid to the wearing comfort. Whenever possible, each ring has a so-called Comfort Fit. This means that the ring needs a special curve on the inside allowing it to be pleasant to wear and easily removed and put back on. This comfort fit, however, is not possible for each model. Experience personally how this wearing comfort feels and try on our rings at a recognised dealer or jeweller. This is important, for you will be wearing the VdB&VR ring daily, for the rest of your life.
